An owner-run team on every project

Kevin Slezak runs every Colonial project personally. Clients write about seeing him on site putting in the final touches himself, not managing from an office. That is the relationship, before and after move-in.

In their words

What clients say

“It was not unusual to see Kevin personally working around the house putting in those final touches that makes the difference between good and excellent work product.”

D. Hatwell · Kensington

“Of the builders that submitted a proposal and met our criteria, Colonial was chosen due to the proven track record and favorable building contract structure.”

K. Saliaris

“Open-book contractor… Kevin worked with us through the permitting process to ensure building and environmental requirements were met.”

The process

How we work with you, step by step

  1. 01

    Sit down with us

Bring your plans, ideas, budget range, expectations, and timeline.

  2. 02

    Design it with us

A design agreement covers complete home design and every required permit.

  3. 03

    Agree on the construction contract

With the design done and allowances discussed, the budget is set out in writing before work begins.

  4. 04

    Stay ahead of every decision

A build schedule and a decisions schedule, so a choice in month four never stalls work in month five.

  5. 05

    Watch it go up

A standing biweekly walkthrough, and Kevin working on your lot with the team.

  6. 06

    Walk through and move in

A final walkthrough together, then the keys. Call us when anything needs attention.
